DaSkribe Jehuty is Available for Lectures and Appearances | Live Press Kit

SHORT BIO

The government name of Da Skribe Jehuty (Skribe for short) is DeJuan Shears, Sr. He acquired the moniker in college during the early 90’s. Skribe learned in his Afrikan History class that a Scribe in Ancient Kemet (bka known as Egypt) was a very noble and prestigious position to hold in that society. Skribe’s “Knowledge of Self” transformation took root in the Spring semester of '92 in that Afrikan History class, deprogramming him from the many lies and falsehoods of Western Civilization that were at the forefront of his evolution.

Skribe’s initial style of Hip Hop music was strictly Conscious Rap. His influences were Public Enemy, X Clan, Poor Righteous Teachers, Brand Nubians, and the likes thereof. Jumping in and out of the hip hop scene while balancing his life's responsibilities, Skribe wrote "Make America Better", a song that he would use as a motivational tool to inspire more people to vote during the 2017 mid-term elections. But as fate would have it, life issues and procrastination kicked up again causing Skribe to put a hold on making the video. Three short years later, devastating events in America would pull Skribe out of retirement once again to create the video for his 2017 song “Make America Better,” and this time he crossed the finish line with an epic musical product in tow!!!

The driving force behind Skribe’s desire to promote his song/video “Make America Better” to viral status is his aspiration to add value to this Global Movement for Change, shining light on inequality and injustice for Black and Brown people. Skribe isn’t concerned with obtaining a record deal with his work. He is ONLY concerned with “Doin’ Da Work Required for Change!!!”

South Carolina rap sensation LoWlife Molito is available for LIVE SHOWS & APPEARANCES

 LoWlife Molito's Bio

Throughout history, hip hop and urban culture has always had a clever and unique way of transforming the definitions of negative words and phrases into positive, uplifting expressions. In the 1980s hip hop flipped the meaning of the word "bad" into meaning "good", in the early 90s hip hop changed degrading terms such as "dog" and the racial slur "nigga" into endearing titles, and now rapper LoWlife Molito has redefined the meaning of "Low" into the powerful acronym "Loyalty Over Wealth".

The artist was born Moses Perkins in Manhattan but was raised and spent most of his life South Carolina. Adopting the moniker LoWlife Molito, the artist started making music at the age of 18. LoWlife spent most of his teen years playing basketball, but after a trip to the studio to record a song he instantly shifted gears to making music after falling in love with the art form. LoWlife released his first EP and solo album Harleyvillain in the summer of 2020. The anthology received tons of praise from critics, tastemakers, industry insiders and most importantly the streets that it prompted the young gifted artist to release the follow up Harleyvillain 2 in Oct. of the same year which is available for streaming and downloading on all platforms.

LoWlife Molito hit another milestone in his music career when his single "Tesla" broke the record for holding the number 1 spot for 12 consecutive weeks on the SC 30 Top Songs list. LoWlife's name and buzz continued to grow as he was recently featured in Waka Flocka's Supastars Online Magazine, made the front page of the official Black Vibes website, received a lot of praise and support from the Official Nerve DJs record pool and coalition and has been featured on many prestigious entertainment websites and blogs across the web.

One of LoWLife's biggest records to date is the Mike Beats produced "Rida". The official music video for "Rida" garnered over 14,000 views on YouTube, and the video for one of his latest singles "Trap Open" has reached 11,000 views respectively. As time progresses LoWlife continues to drop more and more underground classics and street hits! With the Integrity and Loyalty he has to the art and to his people, LoWlife Molito certainly has flipped a negative into a positive and lives up to the prefix in his stage name.
